46 years old, Dipl. Eng., Gian Carlo Ariosto has been working for 25 years in telecommunications: first with former SIP, later Telecom Italia, and after some other professional experiences in small and big companies he has been working for over 10 years as an independent consultant, particularly in networking, internetworking and security: his interest for spam came from this job.
He has been member of Italian Naming Authority, Council member of ISOC Italia (Italy Chapter of ISOC), administrator of spam@isoc.it mailing list, a brainstorming group of spam experts. He was one of the speakers at Domain Day 2003 and at "GdL spam" organized by ISOC Italia and Garante Privacy, and is joining the Codice spam workgroup at the Ministry of Communications.
